Found these two images that i meant to put up a while back, the one on the right with the dad and child reflects the 3d idea we want to get across really well. The One on the Left I thought would help us get a bit more colour into the individual pages by using multipied colour shapes over the images and more paint effects?? Hope that helps.

Different Ideas for the Individual pages? Or is it too late?!

Far left seems less forced than the one we did today...
Black one is nice and simple and varies nicely from all the other pages...

This is the image that sam drew that could be included on the Torvill and Dean page that has been inverted. I added the long exposure lights onto it that John said might like quite effective. Maybe this varies too much from the style of the other pages?

Here are the final individual pages for each tram name...note that some need more text and images on.

a little graphic but some syringes spurting ink for you all. (for the boots page)

hey everyone this is a bit of information ive bullet pointed from the internet about the 3 different tram names we've chosen. the info for torvill and dean and jesse boot is quite snappy and to the point, though the info about lord byron rambles on a bit so we'll just have to take out the main points
&t;a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQucaodOdJK9ainMahqyf45ULGHklPunSPpiSgPZAeDyeD9bKTwHmJiEtdy82WtEHI7ERvIkvMiGgEC-665ijr2ydhLeW8qWPmTZXQbVH7q7HEjMOgMtUjZnrUnxT8m5Jjj45Abe93y80/s1600-h/TramThingstop+and+go.jpg">

OK! so not what its supposed to look like..changed colour when i added it to the blog

Tram rail close-up shot..

here you are beautiful people.

hey guys these are the initial layouts ive done for the separate tram names

This is the initial idea for what we could use to control the stop and start movement of the tram on screen. It is the signal lights that the tram driver uses; vertical to go and horizontal to stop the tram. When the tram stops at each stop the lights could set to horizontal and only when the user click's the symbol to vertical position would the tram begin to move.

Couple of pieces of research that id not put up yet...

Hey Guys here should be the video to Kanye West Video - Good Life...Meant to post ages ago, but notice the folding and popping up skylines throughout.

Hey Guys here are some of the photos of the experiment we did for a night time version of the tram lines. The Outline of the people in the middle shows what it what look like for an outline of a building. As you click over the black space the image of the building or object would become visible (rollover image) - as seen in the far left photo with the guitar. Maybe some names of places and tram names could be written in this style too. Or has it been done too much and its pretty tricky to outline the buildings themselves.

The Storyboards for every page...apologise for the poor quality images but thats the quickest way to upload them. Hope they make sense and are helpful.

jB

Here are the storyboard/ mock ups of the main page and the different stops. Mixture of text, illustration, photographs and other drawings. Limited colour used relating to each topic - maybe use the blue to represent Boots and the red to represent blood of the fist fighter?
Will convert these to Photoshop files tonight for use in Flash 2moro.

Some more pictures from the Pin Dot exercise...

The Massive Attack website we viewed a week or so ago...the text is like the tram typeface...just to a reminder of the scrolling affect that we are trying to achieve.

Keep colours orange and red....

hey guys was just lookin at the beck dvd and came across their own website, www.beck.com, which isnt the best example we've got but it involves a bit of what we're tryin to do in terms of images popping up etc. also quite like the idea of the dogs paw in the bottom corner always being onscreen, and when you scroll over it the main menu comes on. might be cool to do that with a tram ticket with names of different trams on, so you can choose where u want to go maybe....? just an idea, hava look!

The Tram

Two web links;

1st is very simple piece of interactive design where u can hover the mouse over the trams controls and it displays the use of each one..could possibly be developed further

2nd is the high speed virtual tram video that JB pointed out..
